The location of Pilmuir is excellent for a variety of activities including hill walking, cycling, golfing and riding along with tourist attractions in the Park such as Strathspey Steam Railway (1.5 miles away), the Cairngorm Mountain, Landmark Forest Theme Park, (4 miles away) distilleries and Aviemore. Boat of Garten is within walking and cycling distance (10 minute cycle) on a track into the village with post office, shop, hotel and restaurants. The ‘Snow Roads Scenic Route’ is just a few miles away whilst the North Coast 500 is only 25 minutes north. Finally, the North East 250 is again within easy reach.
The house is easily accessible by car, rail or air with Inverness only a thirty minute drive, Edinburgh or Glasgow two and a half hours away or Aberdeen a two hour drive, making Pilmuir the ideal weekend or holiday stay. For reference, on Google maps the postcode is PH24 3BX and What Three Words.
From the South and North
To get to Pilmuir from the South of Scotland head north up the A9 towards Inverness and turn off at Aviemore. Follow signs through Aviemore towards Grantown on Spey / Boat of Garten which is about 7 miles from Aviemore. When coming from the North, turn off the A9 at Carrbridge and follow signs for A95 and Boat of Garten. After passing Boat of Garten remain on the A95 and you enter the village of Drumuillie. Continue through the village and after the row of houses on your right (including Locheil and Drumullie Steading), there are a number of houses on your left. Pilmuir is the fourth on the left and the second last house before leaving the Village.
From the East
From the east coast of Scotland head towards Grantown on Spey – 35 miles from Elgin and Inverness. Once near Grantown follow signs on the A95 for Aviemore. The village of Drumuillie will appear in about 7 miles, after passing the Heather centre. On entering the village, Pilmuir is the second cottage on the right hand side.
Arriving by Train and Air

Please note Pilmuir is a former Coach Inn and thus was built on a drovers road which is now the A95.
